VX2 Construction is the creation of James Durie, founding Director. A highly skilled Professional and his collective experience spans over 20 years in the trade. Being local to area, James has an extensive network of trade relationships and contacts to ensure that VX2 Construction can deliver and fulfil customer needs.
Our goal is to provide an end product that is unique to our customer’s requirements. Nestled just over the Scottish Border, this ensures that we are in the prime position to look after cliental on both sides of the Border.

James left school at 16 and started a 4 year joinery apprenticeship with Allan Brothers. He completed his apprenticeship with WRM joinery, gaining his NVQ Level 3 qualification in joinery & carpentry. James’s experience ranges from bespoke bench joinery to custom new build houses and renovations. James has experience working overseas within various oil rig platforms, carrying out refits and remedial works. James has extensive construction experience and has undertaken his own self build projects. James has also worked for one of the largest kitchen manufacturers within sales and management roles.
